How My Strive have Helped Me Elevate During Incarceration

I’m writing this build about how becoming a member of the Nation of Gods and Earths, gaining Knowledge of Self and my divine culture helped me achieve great results within the interior cipher as well as outside of prison. I come from humble beginnings, and I've always had a drive for learning, still, I was miseducated early in the American school system. Yet, upon my incarceration, I have been able to gain the knowledge and wisdom of my true self, my origins in this world, and my duties as an Original Black man. Upon receiving this knowledge, I have been able to elevate myself to be a better and more productive member of this nation and any community I have been in within the prison system, as well as when I return home.

Academic Growth

Some of the things that I've been able to achieve include earning my GED and obtaining certifications in welding and carpentry. I have also taken many classes, including rehabilitative ones offered by the South Carolina Department of Corrections, and I have excelled in all of these endeavors. All this aligns with The Father, who founded our nation. He taught that young people of our nation should go get skills and trades. So in likewise fashion, the discipline and commitment to learning instilled by this “show and prove culture” have been crucial to my academic achievements.

Mental Development

The nation's philosophy has profoundly influenced my mindset and mental health. Learning about my divine origins and the true history of my people has given me the ability to see things for what they are and not what they appear to be. This has given me more clarity and a more realistic outlook on life. The teachings have provided me with a framework for self-reflection and personal elevation. This mental shift has allowed me to become a more resilient and focused individual, better equipped to handle the challenges of incarceration and life beyond it.

Physical Well-being

My physical health has also seen significant improvements through the dietary laws of the nation. I have adhered to these laws which include no pork or pork by-products. I have been able to stop eating other meats like beef as well. I have rid myself of the use of poisonous material substances, which once weakened me. The nation's emphasis on having and keeping a “clean temple” has encouraged me to maintain a healthy lifestyle, which has positively impacted my overall well-being and energy levels.

Rehabilitative Progress

The Nation of Gods and Earths has played a pivotal role in my rehabilitation. Through the nation's support and guidance, I have become involved in various programs and initiatives aimed at personal growth and refinement. I have participated in and even helped start many community-based, grassroots programs and initiatives within and outside of the prison system. This involvement has prepared me for successful reintegration into society and has given me a sense of purpose and responsibility.

Personal Reflections

Reflecting on the overall impact of picking up my strive, I can confidently say that it has been transformative I have learned the true meaning of brotherhood and nationhood. This has helped me reconnect and collaborate with my family and community, teaching them things they had never known and helping them in areas of health and self-awareness. I have become a beacon of light and inspiration for those who have yet to acquire knowledge of themselves. All of these accomplishments are attributed to the knowledge and wisdom I gained from the nation.

Conclusion

And then what happened? My strive in this nation has profoundly impacted my life, helping me excel academically, mentally, physically, and rehabilitatively. I am deeply grateful for the support and good orderly direction of the nation and look forward to continuing to constantly elevate and contribution to my community.
